EXHIBIT 014 - Decoration Fail
Thursday, July 10, 2008
Yesterday, Mr. Frost sent me a link with the words "Maghanda ka na dito." (Prepare yourself for this.)

What did I see on the link he gave?

Decoration Fail
see more pwn and owned pictures

I could already imagine Issen and Kobe. But instead of white paint in cans, they'll use Mr. Frost's spray paints in Gunmetal.

"Look, Daddy! We painted your Gundams!"

The horror. The mess. The chaos.

Good heavens help me that time comes. I expect worse things.

EXHIBIT 013 - The mother of all movie posters
Sunday, April 27, 2008
I'm a big fan of Christian Bale, and an even bigger fan of his version of The Batman. With the late Heath Ledger's superb performance as The Joker, The Dark Knight is one of the very few movies I'm eagerly anticipating and planning to watch on the big screen.

Check out it's latest poster. This literally took my breath away.

EXHIBIT 012 - The Battle of Pelennor Fields, yummy version
Saturday, March 15, 2008
Remember my post about the yummy Helm's Deep masterpiece? Well, the genius didn't stop there. Like I said in my comment in their site, I wouldn't dare ruin the masterpiece by eating even its smallest, most insignificant part.

Here's another masterpiece. Click on the images for a bigger view.

This is a scale model of Minas Tirith during the Battle of Pelennor Fields from the novel, The Return of the King, by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Mouth-watering top of the tower.

I won't mind THIS battering ram banging my mouth open.

And this is one dragon corpse I'd want to feast on.

More yummy, mouth-watering, unbelievable pictures here. And there's a video as well!

EXHIBIT 011 - Battle at Helm's Deep, yummy version
Friday, March 14, 2008
This. is. amazing. I will kiss the ground that the makers of this walked on.

Recognize the scene? It's a scale replica of the battle of Helms Deep, from the movie based on the second book of the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, The Two Towers, by J.R.R. Tolkien. The genius who made this says:
The whole thing was constructed out of cardboard, glue, icing and… well, candy. It clocked in at about 7 feet long by 3 feet deep by 2 feet tall. We used over 500 Gummy Bears as orcs and Uruk-Hai. The Elves, Dwarves and Men were represented by sour patch kids. Most of these were of course corpses.

Here are a couple of my favorites.

Gummy orcs and Uruk-Hai! Y-U-M!!!

Lollipop catapults! G-E-N-I-U-S!!!

EXHIBIT 008 - Darwin Awards Nominee
Thursday, February 21, 2008
We were on our way to work this morning when we saw a stalled car up ahead the corner where we would turn right.

The car's hood is up so we assumed it was engine trouble, but we wondered why the guys there are standing by the door instead of working on the engine.

When we came closer, we realized what they were doing by the door. Take a look.

To those who can't figure it out, we surmised that the driver got locked out of his car. He probably had an engine trouble so he popped the hood and got off the car to check on the engine, leaving the keys in the ignition, or anywhere inside the car. I don't know how the door closed and locked, but since they're trying to pry open the door, that's probably what happened.

How convenient. How smart.

Most likely, the car driver can't believe his luck, or lack of it. And so very early in the morning.

EXHIBIT 007 - Gun-shaped egg makers
Tuesday, February 12, 2008
This is absolutely hilarious! Hell, I'd like to get myself one of these, just for the heck of it!

I got this from DVICE, which showcases many other incredible inventions and gadgets. They described these nicely-shaped egg fryers as:
These molds from Urban Trends come in a variety of shapes including the "over-Uzi" mold and a classic revolver. If leaving a fried gun egg on a loved ones plate is a bit over the top, then combine this with some Mickey Mouse pancakes and strawberry syrup for a little more cynical and comedic breakfast. Each gun egg fryer is constructed out of stainless steel, so you may want to avoid using it on the nice, Teflon pan, unless you really want to get violent with a loved one. Teflon is serious business.

Hehehe. Imagine Mr. Frost's surprise when I volunteer to cook breakfast, then offer fried eggs of these shapes to him. Ah forget it, he saw the pic while I was posting this so, there goes my surprise.

EXHIBIT 006 - Non-stick Spiderman
Wednesday, February 06, 2008
This literally made my day!

Well, this may not exactly be an image, but I dare anyone to oppose me when I say that a series of images will more or less turn into a video.

I stumbled upon this while dropping my Entrecard virtual business cards. I actually found this on the blog of former Filipino child celebrity Chuckie Dreyfus.

EXHIBIT 004 - Cobralyn and company
Thursday, January 24, 2008
I got this image through an email a couple of years ago, I think. Kiven showed the pic again to me late last year, and boy we had a blast!

Check out the copy that came with it. Apologies to my English-speaking friends, but I can't translate the copy for you. It would do injustice to the one who wrote it if the humor and taste of his/her creation is lost in translation.

Definitely a strong person.

Si Choverlyn, dalaginding. Mayumi't mahinhin.

RIP.

Siyempre pa, wag naman nating i-out-of-place yung nasa gitna nina Choverlyn at Cobralyn. Tingnan nyong mabuti. Yan si Wowie De Guzman!

My personal favorite is Cobralyn. Just look at "her" pout. Unbelievable.

EXHIBIT 003 - Astonishing RV
Saturday, January 19, 2008
Different kinds of motorhomes are very popular in foreign countries, most especially the United States. A motorhome is very convenient for those whose means of living require them to travel from one place to another on a regular basis. Trailer parks are also common living arrangements in many countries as this provide mobility and convenience at a very low cost. Recreational vehicles or RVs are the transport of choice for those who go on long road trips for vacation or camping.

Why am I talking about these things? Because you'll never believe what I found for Exhibit 3 of Ambushed Images.

Check this motorhome out:

Looks like a very nice, ordinary RV, right? Nice is actually an understatement, much more ordinary.

Because this baby is no ordinary RV. It's actually a modified garbage truck. You won;t believe me? Check out the exterior of the vehicle.

What can I say about the man who made this? Innovative. Creative. Pure G-E-N-I-U-S.

This vehicle has put garbage trucks in a different light for me.

Now where to buy garbage trucks for sale?

EXHIBIT 002 - Console Chart
Monday, January 14, 2008
Video gamers in budget are faced with a dilemma: which video game system should I get? I say those who are in budget because those who have money to burn do not experience this problem. They simply buy all three next-generation consoles in the market.

There's the PlayStation 3, or more commonly known as PS3, from Sony. Microsoft released Xbox 360 and Nintendo has their Wii.

All three has their own pros and cons, and I know several people losing sleep over which console to buy. I recently found a way to help you decide between a PS3, an Xbox360, a Wii, and even a PC. Presenting the Console Chart...

This image never fails to amuse me any time of the day.

No offense to next-gen console owners. I hope you still have some sense of humor left in you after hours of playing with your toys.

By the way, I don't know where exactly this image originated from, because what I got was just the imageShack link. In case you stumble upon the source of this chart, please let me know.

EXHIBIT 001 - Cool Kids' Shirts
Saturday, January 12, 2008
Okay, I'm changing the general description of items categorized under AMBUSHED IMAGES. Aside from generally wholesome funny images, I will also be posting any picture that I find amusing and interesting. The last word is a bit vague, as my interests can be as varied as anything under the sun. Let's just find out what those things are when I post 'em, shall we?

I will also include websites that appealed to me mainly because they carry a whole lot of "interesting" things with images.

Like Cafepress.com. This site is known for selling shirts and other novelty products with customized prints. Very interesting prints, may I add. I've been browsing through their line of Kids' Shirts and these are my absolute favorites.

Ah yeah! Start 'em young with rock n' roll!
"AB/CD For Those About To Talk"

A must-have for gamers' kids!
"Level 1 Human"

*Note: Designs are also available in infant rompers.

I would have impulsively bought those shirts, and several more, for Issen but the only mode of payment is credit card, and my card is not available yet. Well, good thing too, because if they were accepting Paypal, all my credits would have been spent way before I finish this post.

Guess I'll just have to wait till my card becomes available. Oh well.

New rooms available
Friday, January 11, 2008
I've added a new section in my blog. If you will look at the right sidebar, you will now see ROOMS on top of Sponsors. Listed there are the quick links I've provided to what I'm anticipating to be the frequently accessed topics in my blog. There are three right now, AMBUSHED IMAGES, SIDELINE, and EMAIL ME.

As I've mentioned in my post the other day, I'll be adding a new category in my blog: AMBUSHED IMAGES. This category will include all images that I find funny. Some will coming from my own stash at my hard drive, downloaded and/or saved from way back when, so I might not be able to acknowledge the source. Those that I have acquired or found recently will, of course, be given due credit. I will be accepting submissions, too, so if you have images there (wholesome, as much as possible, please) that you want to share, shoot me a message and we'll feature it here for everyone's pleasure.

The second "room", SIDELINE, is for my fellow bloggers who wish to look at my paid posts. When I'm doing a blog advertisement, I sometimes find it helpful to check how other bloggers did their post on the same topic. This gives me an idea on what angle I can use to complete my post. I don't copy their posts, mind you, and I certainly hope others won't copy mine. I just get more ideas on when I read others' work. Much like when I'm surfing the net when I'm doing layout designs. Okay, that another story, and I'm not ready to disclose that yet. Anyway, I'm hoping I can help other bloggers do their paid posts by providing them a link to all of my completed posts.

I don't think I need to explain the purpose of the third room, EMAIL ME, but just to be idiot-proof, I'll describe briefly. I mentioned that I am welcoming submissions/contributions for my AMBUSHED IMAGES section. If you have something we can laugh at, then click the link and it will prompt your email client to open a "compose message" with my email address at the "To:" field. Same thing goes for just about anyone who wish to send me messages that won't be read by anyone else. Savvy?

I'll be adding more "rooms" in the future, but for now, these three will do.

NEW: Pajamas and category
Thursday, January 10, 2008
By the way, Issen got a set of cute Chinese pajamas from my cousin and his wife. He looked so cute in them I can't resist taking some pics. More pics here.

By the way, I'll be adding a new section soon. Mr. Frost, my friends and I have been seeing lots of funny images on the net, and I've saved hundreds of hilarious pics in my PC as well. I'll be sharing them soon in my AMBUSHED IMAGES category.

Here are some of what I unearthed from my PC as starters.

Like I said, we/I found them on the net and they have been stored in my hard drive for the longest time. You have to forgive me if I can't give due credit. A couple of the images, though, indicate a website where they came from.

Sources of future images will be credited, I promise. If you have a funny pic that you want to share, post a comment here or leave a message at my shoutbox, and I'll get in touch with you as soon as possible. (That reminds me, I need to set up my CONTACT ME page.)
