As mentioned in my previous post, "my new toy suffered its first (and hopefully the last) physical injury" recently.

Thanks to Hector and Hazel, I was able to take pics of my camera's damage.

I haven't called the Sony Service Center yet to inquire how deep I have to dig in my pockets to have my camera restored. The guy from the workshop I attended said the whole casing will be replaced. Good luck to me.
