Yesterday, YM chatters all over the world were paralyzed with shock when they found out that their YMs cannot accommodate their essays of a status message anymore. As it turns out, a bug that doesn't allow you to use status messages with more than 40 characters.

Luckily, I have very resourceful friends who provided me with the fix.

1. Click on this link to download the file y_statusFix.rar
2. Extract the RAR file.
3. Log out from your Yahoo Messenger and double click the extracted file to run it.
4. VOILA! Your YM is back to normal again. You can now log back in and use your thesis as a status message.

It's funny how some people are fond of narrating their whole lives in a Yahoo Messenger status. Two- to three-liners are fine, especially if they were that long because they included a link to their blog or some other website. But beyond that is just too ridiculous for me.

No offense to anyone, that's just one person's opinion. If you're guilty of it and you think there's nothing wrong with that, then good for you. That means you're more open-minded than I am.
